Early Life
Camilla Rosemary Shand was born on July 17, 1947, in London. She grew up in East Sussex and South Kensington in a comfortable, upper-class family. Her parents were Bruce Shand and Rosalind Cubitt.
She attended Queen’s Gate School in London, later a finishing school in Switzerland, and studied French in Paris. From a young age she had a strong love for horses and country life.
